Located on the edge of the middle peninsula of Chalkidiki (Sithonia), Kriaritsi is the view that the monks from the Monasteries in the western side of the Holy Mountain see everyday from their windows, exactly at the point where Athos Mountain (2033m) extends meeting the Heavens.
On the opposite side, Kriaritsi faces the peaceful vastness of the North Aegean Sea, from where the visitor’s sight reaches the shadows of the unique islands of Limnos and Agios Eustratios, and also the green islands of Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonisos) on southwest.
Kriaritsi offers a unique destination for the traveller who can enjoy watching the sun rising from the sea during the early hours and then disappear at dusk behind the all green mountain.
