The settlement in Kriaritsi has a coastline of about 6,5 kilometres length. Because of the unique consistency of the land, the sandy beaches consist of medium sand only, without the existence of mud and stones. For that reason, seawaters are clean and transparent. Moreover, there are no seaweeds, sea urchins or jellyfishes hidden in the sand and the sea bottom. All of the above give to the shallow and middle depth waters their fantastic three-colour shade.
The beaches consist of smaller and larger bays, and their morphology varies considerably. Shallow, sandy bays alternate with complexes of rock, fragmented by the ancient wave erosion in all kinds of forms, shapes, curves and angles that create a vast open-air sculpture of nature that no sculptor could have conceived. However, the rocks allow access to the sea and sunbathing. The relief is the most beautiful in the area of Chalkidiki and one of the most impressive in Greece.
