The climate of Kriaritsi, typical of the Greek Mediterranean coastline, is mild in the winter and cool in the summer.
During the summer months, the area has the lowest temperature in Greece, as it is situated on the edge of the peninsula and is almost always exposed to the cool sea breeze (“Aura”). The sloping ground, the near the sea location, and the big forest that surrounds the village, create local breezes refreshing the area all day and night. The absence of very high temperatures and humidity make the climate of Kriaritsi exceptionally pleasant.
Moreover, there are no mosquitoes or similar insects in the area, because there are no strong winds and stagnant waters in the surrounding region (as a result of the sophisticated local water infrastructure).
